There is always a purpose when I travel, whether to learn of the archaeological site of Delphi, to be schooled in the Tibbetan Buddhist way of thought in the Himalaya, traversing the Sahara on camel writing about the Amazigh, or recording wildlife observations on a remote Indian Ocean Island.
